Just a quick post to say that I have arrived safely in Uganda complete with luggage. The man at the visa desk was very interested in my place of birth on my passport - he was a Sheffield United fan. You don't meet that many of those in England..!
All the VSO volunteers are staying at a conference centre just outside of Kampala for the next week to do our orientation training. It is very nice - we each have our own rooms with hot showers and a big case of water. Everybody has been very friendly so far :-)
Not sure what the internet connection is like but will post more photos when I get a chance.
Love Hannah

Arrived safely
Hi Hannah, Pat here. Have had difficulty getting on to blog to comment but seem to have sussed it out now. Your photos arrived safely at school and were displayed prominently in the staff room. Life here is as busy as ever. We are having HKR again for that sport sesion next week. Going to the scrap store tomorrow to show Rebecca and then get her a coat for school.Glad you will be with another volunteer. How old is Celia and where does she come from? How is life without chocolate? You will be so healthy. Is there a lot of fresh fruit and unusual ones to eat? looking forward to seeing more photos when you get the chance. Anyway keep safe. Love Pat xx
